Open the HP Full-featured software by clicking on the printer icon on the desktop screen or by searching windows for HP Officejet pro 8610. Search Windows for HP HP OfficeJet 8610 double click to open the HP Printer assistant Click on Scan Click on Manage scan to computer Click on Enable Check the box at the bottom Close. I have a HP 3630 all in one printer/scanner and it was working great on Ubuntu 16.04 with the HP Print manager. Now I did a clean and fresh install Ubuntu 18.04 and the printing work fine, but example Sane (or other scan software) can't find the device.

• SSM: Added optional entry DelayAfterInstall in [Install Execution] section of the CVA file to introduce a delay in seconds after the install command completes, allowing the install process to terminate properly.
  The maximum delay is 10 seconds, therefore any value larger than 10 will delay for 10 seconds.
